Area to Visit
Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti (Northern & Central)
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our representatives. Following the greeting, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you will rest and receive a pre-safari briefing from your Guide.
Enjoy the rest of your time relaxing after a long journey and getting ready to begin your adventure the next day.
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll pack up and drive to Tarangire National Park. A safari destination on Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. The park is well-known for its large elephant population as well as the Baobab trees that dot the landscape. The park gets its name from the Tarangire River, which serves as the main source of water during the dry season and thus supports wildlife life.
Big cats like lions and leopards are also common, so if you’re lucky, you might spot one. Your driver will then take you to a nice spot along the Tarangire River for lunch. After spending some time game driving in the park, you will drive to Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will spend the night.
We’ll take breakfast early because we have a full day of exploration and adventure ahead of us! We’ll start the day by driving to the Serengeti plains. We will pass through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may see Cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth.
Witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and be astounded by the sheer number of animals roaming these grassy plains. We’ll drive to our lodge before the sun goes down for the night. You will be extremely fortunate to spend a night in the Serengeti.
(Northern Serengeti). This long drive to Kogatende allows you to experience and admire the Park’s vastness. Keep an eye out for attractions on the way to Kogatende; you’ll probably want to learn everything you can about the Great Wildebeest Migration.
You will also drive through various habitats and scenery, which will enhance your experience. When we arrive in the Kogatende region, we will go in search of the Wildebeest Migration as well as the famous Big Five animals. Before sunset, your guide will drive you to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay; this will be another opportunity to experience your night in the northern Serengeti.
After breakfast, we will begin our game drive around the Kogatende area, searching the kopjes for carnivores and large migration groups preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya. The North Serengeti is home to a large population of hippos and Nile crocodiles, and the Mara River is the last significant barrier between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara.
If you’re patient and lucky, you might even get to see the death-defying crossing itself, where wildebeest and zebras brave the river’s currents and crocodiles to reach safety on the other side. We return to our lodge for the night after spending time catching up with these spectacular natural events.
After a delicious breakfast, we depart in the morning for the Central Serengeti. En route, we will undertake game drives to see the Serengeti’s wildlife. The Central Serengeti has an abundance of wildlife to enjoy all year due to the presence of sufficient water sources and grasses to feed the grazers such as Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala, and Gazelle, to name a few.
We will stop for lunch en route and take a short break before continuing on our journey. We’ll probably arrive in the Serengeti’s heart around late afternoon. We’ll then return to our lodge before sunset for some well-deserved rest.
Today will be another fantastic day as we will spend the entire day in the Central Serengeti looking for more wildlife. After a delicious breakfast, we set out in search of cheetahs and other predators. If you’re lucky, you might see predators while hunting; this is a great opportunity to learn about the tactics used to catch prey.
The central Serengeti has well-designated picnic areas, so you will take your lunch in one of those areas in the afternoon. After lunch, we will go on a game drive until the evening, when we will return to the lodge for rest and dinner.
After breakfast, we will depart for our final game drive in Serengeti National Park. The earlier you go, the better, so plan an early morning game drive. Most animals are very active in the morning, so it is a good time to see a lot of wildlife. After the game drive, we will begin our journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
There are many activities and attractions to see on the way to Ngorongoro, so your journey will include an en route game drive. We make our way towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we will spend the night. Enjoy your meal and prepare for a crater tour the next day.
We’ll have an early breakfast before heading down the crater. The crater is 610 meters deep and supports animals all year. Here you can see hyenas, jackals, lions, zebras, wildebeests, kori bustards, and hippos. Lake Magadi is located on the crater flow and is one of the crater’s main forms; the lake is home to flocks of flamingos.
You will celebrate your lunch in the crater in the afternoon, followed by a short break. After lunch, we proceed on another short game drive. We will ascend in the late afternoon and then drive to a lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
We believe you had a better time for your once-in-a-lifetime experience. After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight back home, depending on your departure flight. Spending the last few days together was a wonderful experience. We hope to see you again as we wave you goodbye. Have a safe journey!
