After you have enjoyed breakfast at your hotel, we will drive to Mto Wa Mbu (a 2 hour journey) where you can choose between enjoying a leisurely  bike ride  or a local tuk-tuk ride to the shores of one of Africa’s most majestic lakes, Lake Manyara. This is an amazing opportunity to do some bird-spotting and you may be lucky enough to see some local wildlife like zebras, giraffes, hippos and buffalo in this corridor of migration between the national parks. 

Mto wa Mbu Village is one of Tanzania’s best tourist destinations, with a variety of activities to enjoy. 

The village is located along the main road of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit destinations, near Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After a delicious breakfast, a successful 2-hour drive from Arusha town will lead you to this iconic tourist juncture.

There are many activities to explore in Mto wa Mbu, so you can just choose among the following excursions during your day trip:

• Cultural exploration tours, including visits to Maasai bomas and the Makonde tribe’s wood-carving skills, among other things.
• visiting local farms to see banana, fruit, and rice cultivation, eating local food, and visiting a local beer brewery
• Biking tour of the farms and other locations in the village

You will have a hot lunch at a restaurant in Mto wa Mbu town in the afternoon. After all of the excursions, your guide will drive you back to Arusha town for dinner and an overnight stay, unless other arrangements have been made.
