Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival At the Airport

A KLA Adventures guide will meet you at the airport for welcome procedures. Following greetings and check-in procedures, you will be transferred to your hotel for rest and a pre-safari briefing from your Guide.

Enjoy your African meal and the atmosphere as you prepare for your incredible safari, which begins the following day.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Breakfast will be served early in the morning, followed by a drive to Tarangire National Park. When you arrive at the main gate, you will go through the check-in process before embarking on a game drive. Your appreciation for nature begins here. We then buckle ourselves into our 4 x 4 and begin driving through the park in search of wild animals.

Elephants are usually seen a few kilometers from the main gate, but these huge animals are sometimes seen right at the main gate, much to your surprise. We make our way deeper into the park, to the Tarangire River. Most animals congregate here, especially during the dry seasons.

We’ll eat lunch at noon, take a short break, and then go on another game drive after we’ve freshened up. In the evening, we’ll drive to Karatu for the dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Mto Wa Mbu Cultural Tour

Our exciting day begins with breakfast at the lodge, followed by a short drive to the Mto wa Mbu area, a small town near Lake Manyara National Park. During the tour, you will learn about the locals’ cultural practices and have the opportunity to interact with them. We will travel to the villages to learn about the lives of the people who live there.

We will visit the locals to see how they brew their local brew; this is an excellent opportunity to distinguish between the local and modern brewing processes. We will also visit traditional houses of various tribes to gain insight into the lives of Tanzanians.

We’ll also go for a walk to see the nearby banana and coffee plantations. You may also take a walk to a waterfall near the village or rent a bike for excursions.

Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

We’ll have an early breakfast at the lodge before continuing on to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There are numerous attractions to visit along the way.

We’ll check in at the Serengeti Naabi Gate before driving through the Serengeti’s endless plains towards Seronera. We will have lunch in the central area and then take a short break before embarking on an afternoon game drive.

We’ll go on an afternoon game drive at Serengeti Central after lunch. Wildebeest herds are common here, and big cats are frequently seen prowling. We arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon to spend our first night in the Serengeti National Park.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti National Park

Today, after a hearty breakfast, we embark on a full-day game drive on endless plains. Because we have the entire day today, the guide will carefully select where we can go on a game drive to maximize our experience. The Serengeti’s central area is blessed with water sources and enough food to feed the grazers, so expect to see some grazers searching for food in the endless plains.

Lunch will be served in the afternoon, after that we’ll relax and resume our game drive in search of animals that you did not see in the morning. During the game drive, you may see zebra, impalas, wildebeest, and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetah. Following the game drive, your guide will return you to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Game Drive in Serengeti and Overnight at Ngorongoro

We’ll leave after breakfast for a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Because animals are more active in the morning and there are fewer tourists on game viewing points, it is the best time to perform most of the best spotting moments. Before heading to Ngorongoro, you will have your picnic lunch in the Serengeti plains.

The game drive will last a few hours before leaving the Serengeti and beginning the game drive en route. We continue on our journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we will spend the night. Enjoy your wonderful stay and get ready for an exciting tour to Ngorongoro Crater the next day.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Eyasi

After an early breakfast, we will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is nearly 600 meters deep and 20 kilometers wide, and it is home to an incredible variety of animals. On your game drive, you may see a variety of mammals, including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – as well as Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks.

You may also see spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs, and some of the area’s more than 500 bird species. After a picnic lunch in the crater and more driving, we’ll depart in the afternoon for Lake Eyasi, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi to Arusha

Lake Eyasi will undoubtedly enhance your Tanzania safari experience. We will get to experience the bush life of the Hadzabe and Datoga people, which is unlike any other destination. These two tribes have remained unchanged for generations, and their interaction is mutually beneficial.

The Hadzabe will demonstrate their hunting skills and dances, while the Datoga are well-known blacksmiths. When you interact with these local tribes, you will learn a lot and make wonderful memories. We will spend time with these people before departing Lake Eyasi for Arusha, as our adventure comes to an end.

Day 9: Departure

Everything good has to come to an end! Today is the day to say goodbye to everyone who has been a part of your safari. Enjoy your breakfast before being escorted to the airport for your flight back home, depending on your departure flight. It was a pleasure traveling with you; we wish you a safe journey and hope to see you again.
