Ruaha National Park

Ruaha National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania and one of the most remote and wild safari destinations in East Africa. Located in the southern part of the country, the park is known for its vast landscapes of rolling hills, baobab-dotted plains, and the life-giving Great Ruaha River that flows through its heart. This river attracts a remarkable concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals gather along its banks to drink. The park’s untouched wilderness offers a truly authentic safari experience far from the crowds found in more popular parks.

Ruaha is famous for its impressive populations of large predators and elephants. Visitors have excellent chances of seeing lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, buffalo, giraffes, and numerous antelope species roaming the open savannah. The park is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with more than 570 recorded bird species. Its dramatic scenery, abundant wildlife, and sense of true wilderness make Ruaha one of the most rewarding safari destinations in Africa. 🐘🌿
