Saadani National Park is one of the most unique wildlife destinations in Tanzania because it is the only national park in East Africa where the bush meets the beach. Located along the shores of the Indian Ocean, the park combines coastal scenery with classic African wildlife landscapes. Visitors can enjoy views of palm-lined beaches, mangrove forests, and open savannah plains, all within the same protected area.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and several antelope species. The Wami River flows through the park and offers excellent opportunities for boat safaris where visitors can spot hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species. Saadani provides a rare safari experience where travelers can watch wildlife during the day and relax on the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean in the evening. 🌴🦒
