7 Days Tanzania Experience with Walking Safari

Upon your arrival in Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative from Josh Dreamland Safari. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel or lodge for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax at your accommodation or explore the vibrant city of Arusha, known for its cultural richness and scenic views of Mount Meru.
You’ll enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in Arusha, preparing for your exciting safari adventure ahead.

You’ll transfer from Arusha to Tarangire a 2 hours drive. A safari in Tarangire National Park offers a unique and intimate wildlife experience. Famous for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, the park is a haven for diverse species. You can spot lions, leopards, giraffes, and zebras, as well as over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River, a key feature of the park, attracts wildlife, especially during the dry season, making it an excellent place for wildlife viewing. Its quieter atmosphere compared to other parks allows for a more relaxed and personal safari experience.

You will have a road transfer from Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park. A first-day safari in Serengeti National Park is an unforgettable experience. As you enter the vast plains, you’ll be greeted by herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes grazing freely. Serengeti is renowned for its rich wildlife and is home to the Big Five —lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos. The landscape is breathtaking, with endless grasslands dotted by acacia trees. You may witness thrilling predator-prey interactions, as the Serengeti is a prime location for spotting lions and cheetahs in action. The day’s adventure ends with a stunning sunset over the savannah.

On the second day of your safari in Serengeti, you will dive deeper into the heart of the park, exploring different ecosystems and discovering even more wildlife. Early morning game drives offer the best chance to spot predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas as they are most active during this time. You might witness cheetahs on a hunt or a herd of elephants grazing peacefully.
As you move through the Serengeti’s diverse landscapes, from open plains to riverine areas, you’ll encounter herds of giraffes, zebras, and hippos along the riverbanks. The Serengeti is also famous for its birdlife, with species like the African fish eagle and colorful lilac-breasted rollers. Your safari day ends with another spectacular sunset, as you reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters.

On the last day of your safari in Serengeti, you’ll have one final opportunity to experience the magic of the park. A morning game drive offers a peaceful farewell to the wildlife, where you may spot elusive animals like leopards resting in trees or a pride of lions basking in the early sun. As you traverse the savannah, you’ll pass by the iconic acacia trees and open plains, with chances to see giraffes, buffalo, and large herds of herbivores.
Before leaving for Ngorongoro Highlands, you’ll take in the stunning scenery one last time, capturing the essence of Serengeti’s beauty and abundant wildlife.

A safari in Ngorongoro Crater is a truly unique experience. The crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a vast, natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. Home to the Big Five — lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards — it offers excellent game viewing opportunities. You’ll also spot zebras, wildebeests, and hippos near the crater’s lake. The dense concentration of animals, combined with the breathtaking views of the surrounding caldera walls, makes it one of Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations. Accompanied by an armed guide, you’ll explore the park on foot, allowing you to observe wildlife from a different perspective. The park is home to giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of smaller animals. You’ll also enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Meru and the Momella Lakes, which are teeming with flamingos.
